1952 Topps PSA-Graded Collection Including Mays (21)
Starting Bid - $1,500.00, Sold For - $5,581.25
Collection of twenty-one high-grade 1952 Topps baseball cards including Willie Mays, Warren Spahn, and five high numbers, among other key cards in the set. Each card has been graded and encapsulated by PSA. One card is graded NM-MT 8, eight NM 7s, six EX-MT 6s, and six EX 5s. These cards are part of a small but very substantial collection of key cards that were carefully assembled with an eye for condition many years before professional grading existed. We were so impressed with the overall condition that we submitted every single card in the collection to PSA for grading. The PSA grades are as follows: One NM-MT 8: #214 Hopp. Eight NM 7: #49a Sain/correct, 49b Sain/error, 168 Silvera, 206 Ostrowski, 237 Coleman, 373 Turner (high number), 384 Crosetti (high number), and 406 Nuxhall RC (high number). Six EX-MT 6: #122 Jensen, 128 Bollweg, 129 Mize (HOF), 155 Overmire, 261 Mays (HOF), and 403 Miller (high number). Six EX 5: #33 Spahn (HOF), 48 Page/correct, 202 Collins, 215 Bauer, 268 Lemon (HOF), and 372 McDougald RC (high number). This is a tremendous high-grade selection including a high concentration of key cards. The SMR value for this group is $5,425. Total 21 cards. Reserve $1,500. Estimate $3,000/$5,000. SOLD FOR $5,581.25
