1949 to 1952 Bowman "Shoebox" Collection Including 1951 Topps "Red Backs" Set (182)

Original boyhood "shoebox" collection of 128 (123 different plus five duplicates) Bowman Gum baseball cards dating from 1949, 1950, and 1952, including stars and Hall of Famers. The collection is comprised of twenty-two different 1949 Bowmans highlighted by Jackie Robinson, forty-four different 1950 Bowmans highlighted by Ted Williams, and sixty-two 1952 Bowmans highlighted by Willie Mays and Stan Musial. Also included is a complete set of 1951 Topps Red Backs (set of 52 plus two variations for a total of 54 cards) for a total of 182 cards. This is a very clean, crisp collection, in overall far superior condition than normally seen for a shoebox collection. We have selected nine cards to be graded by PSA. 1) 1949 Bowman (22 cards): condition ranges from Vg to Nr/Mt, averaging Ex/Ex-Mt overall: #37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 50 Robinson (PSA EX 5, Bright and crisp, with a bold red background, four square corners, and flawless registration.
