1914-1915 E145 Cracker Jack PSA-Graded Collection (6)
Starting Bid - $500.00, Sold For - $3,525.00
Collection of six E145 Cracker Jack cards (one 1914 and five 1915), all Boston Americans, highlighted by Hall of Famer Harry Hooper and "Smoky" Joe Wood, each graded and encapsulated by PSA: 1) #22 "Smoky" Joe Wood (NM 7, bright and crisp with perfect centering, a deep red background, and four sharp corners). 2) #29 Vean Gregg (NM 7, centered 40/60 L/R, flawless registration, sharp corners with just a slight hint of wear, perfectly clean front and back). 3) #31 Heine Wagner (1914 #144 series, EX 5, centered 70/30 L/R, perfect registration, square corners with hints of wear, some very light caramel staining on the front and back, which is so common with 1914 series cards). 4) #35 Harry Hooper (GOOD 2, Near Mint appearance, downgraded due to a touch of paper loss on the bottom border and which does not affect the card's superb eye appeal. Centered slightly to the right, bright and crisp colors, perfect registration, and a flawless reverse. Despite harsh PSA grade, this is a very sharp looking card). 5) #149 Hal Janvrin (EX-MT 6, bright and crisp front and back, with flawless registration, vibrant red background, and centered 70/30 L/R). 6) #169 Ray Collins (EX-MT 6, centered 75/25 L/R, with a bold red background, perfectly clean front and back ). Total 6 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500. SOLD FOR $3,525.00
