1911 T205 Gold Borders Rarities PSA-Graded Collection (3)
Starting Bid - $500.00, Sold For - $1,997.50
Collection of three rarities from the popular T205 Gold Border series, each graded and encapsulated by PSA: 1) David Shean/Cubs (PSA EX 5 Bright and crisp, with a striking red background, light, even wear to the corners, perfect registration, and practically no chipping to the gold borders. Centered slightly to the left. Hassan back). 2) Jeff Sweeney (PSA EX-MT 6 Very attractive card, with four square corners showing a hint of white at the extreme tips, bright, bold colors, well-centered, with virtually perfect gold borders). 3) James Vaughn (PSA EX-MT 6 Perfectly centered, flawless registration, deep, rich colors, four square corners showing wear at the extreme tips, and no chipping along the gold borders. Hassan advertisement on reverse). T205 Gold Borders are particularly challenging to collect due to the many rarities included in the set. Even excluding the rare back variations, there is no escaping the fact that approximately twenty-four rare cards are needed for completion of the 208-card T205 set. This is a sharp, high-grade collection of three of these significant T205 rarities. The SMR value for the assigned grades is $1,900. Total 3 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000. SOLD FOR $1,997.50
