1915-Era Oddball Baseball Card-Related Premium Collection (73)

This collection of seventy-three items from three different unusual 1910s issues is comprised of forty-three P2 Sweet Caporal Pins, twenty-four B18 Blankets including Ty Cobb and numerous scarce blankets, and six BF2 Ferguson Bakery Felt Pennants: 1) Forty-three circa 1912 P2 Sweet Caporal Pins: 26 grade Ex overall with a few slightly lesser and a few slightly better, the remaining 17 grade Good. Includes three Hall of Famers: two Bender (small and large letters, both Gd) and Duffy (large letter variety, Nr/Mt). 2) Twenty-four 1914 B18 Blankets: (color refers to pennants, infield, or base paths, per The Standard Catalog checklist): Baker (white), Boone (green), Burns (brown), Cobb (white), two Connolly (both white), Coveleski (white), Dolan (yellow), Doyle (brown ), Foster (green), Grant (green), Griffith (white w/green), Hartzell (blue), Hummel (blue), Keating (blue), Mann (white), two Moeller (brown and green), Mowrey (purple), Rucker (blue), Shanks (brown), Steele (purple), Sweeney (green), and Wiltse (green). The blankets range in grade from Vg to Vg-Ex (with the exception of Steele (purple) which is Ex) with most having tiny almost imperceptible stitching thread holes along the perimeter from at one time being sewn together in blanket form as intended. 3) Six 1916 BF2 Ferguson Bakery Felt Pennants: Magee, Murphy, Rowland, Tyler, and two Veach. Four pennants grade Vg-Ex to Ex and two grade Vg. Interesting selection of three unusual and scarce 1915-era issues. Total 73 items. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$800. SOLD FOR $1,527.50
