1909-1911 T206 Hooks Wiltse PSA NM-MT 8

Starting Bid - $200.00, Sold For - $3,818.75

Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. Portrait, no cap pose. One of only six examples graded at this level with none graded higher. This high-grade T206 portrait example of Hooks Wiltse is bright and crisp, perfectly clean, with sharp corners, an extremely strong image, and a flawless off-white reverse. Centered very slightly towards the top right. Bright and clean Sweet Caporal reverse. We have found that at auction cards from extremely popular sets with very low populations in the highest grades often sell for far more than SMR, and this is especially the case with classic vintage sets such as the T206 White Borders. SMR is $750. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$800. SOLD FOR $3,818.75
