1908-1916 Coca Cola Pocket Mirror Collection (3)

In the early part of the twentieth century, Coca-Cola issued a series of oval-shaped celluloid advertising pocket mirrors which were given away to promote the popular soft drink. Eleven different designs were issued between the years 1906 and 1922, each featuring the image of a beautiful women enjoying a refreshing glass of Coca-Cola. Today these are highly sought-after by advertising pocket mirror collectors, advertising collectors, and Coca-Cola collectors. Presented is a collection of three very high quality original Coca-Cola pocket mirrors dating from 1908, 1914, and 1916. The company’s trademark slogan “Drink Coca-Cola,” is prominently lettered within the design of each. The mirrors are referred to here by their catalog reference numbers from Petretti's Coca-Cola Collectibles Price Guide : 1) PMC007 (1908, produced by Bastian Brothers, Excellent condition). 2) PMC012 (1914, produced by The Whitehead & Hoag Co., Excellent condition, with a hint of wear to the mirror side). 3) PMC013 (1916, produced by The Whitehead & Hoag Co., Excellent appearance but technically Vg-Ex due to tiny flaws and wear to the mirror). Each mirror measures approximately 1.75 x 2.75 inches. Included with the mirrors is a 1930s Coca-Cola cigar band (3 x 1 inch) in Nr/Mt condition. From the Barry Halper Collection.
