Collection of three 1940s-era New York Yankees team-signed balls, all of which originate from the personal collection of legendary Yankees scout Paul Krichell (the man who discovered Lou Gehrig): 1) Circa 1941 Yankees World Champs Team-Signed Ball. Thirty-one black ink signatures on an official American League (Harridge) ball: DiMaggio ("3," sweet spot), Dahlgren (sweet spot), Gomez, Crosetti, Hildebrand, Breuer, Hadley, Ruffing, Powell, Russo, Keller, Washburn, Bonham, Chartack, Chandler, Schreiber (coach), Sundra, Knickerbocker, Murphy, Rolfe, Rosar (clubhouse), Stanceu, Henrich, Dickey, Pearson, Grissom, and five others (illegible). Signatures range in grade from "1" to "7," averaging "4/5." This ball was most likely signed during spring training of 1941, as it includes a few players who were exclusive to either the 1940 or 1941 rosters. The ball displays a few slight abrasions and moderate toning on one panel. In Very Good condition. 2) 1943 Yankees World Champs Team-Signed Ball. Twenty-six black ink signatures on an official American League (Harridge) ball: McCarthy (sweet spot, Mgr.), Fletcher (coach, sweet spot), Keller, Hemsley, Gordon, Lindell, Chandler, Krichell (scout), Stirnweiss, Etten, Breuer, Combs (coach), Crosetti, Wensloff, Turner, Bonham, Murphy, Donald, Zuber, Borowy, Schulte (coach), Sears, Stainback, Schreiber (coach), Russo, and Dickey. Signatures range in grade from "3" to "6," averaging "5." The ball is slightly soiled. In Very Good to Excellent condition. 3) 1940s Yankees Team-Signed Ball (specific year uncertain, players span the the decade). Twenty-eight blue ink signatures on an official American League (Harridge) ball: McCarthy (sweet spot, Mgr.), Chandler (sweet spot), DiMaggio, Dickey, Rizzuto, Keller, Rosar, Page, Sturm, Murphy, Zuber, Silvera, Rolfe, Gumpert, Peek, Silvestri, Bevens, Lyons, Gordon (clubhouse), Niarhos, Brown, Schulte (coach), Hassett, Bockman, and four others (illegible or unknown).
