Gary Carter Single-Signed Baseballs (144)

These two full cases of 144 Gary Carter single-signed baseballs is distinguished by both several significant signature variations and the inclusion of a few specially inscribed notations. Half of the balls (72) are official National League (Coleman) balls; the other half (72) are official Major League (Selig) balls. All are signed by Carter in blue ink ("9" to "10") across the sweet spot. The difference between them lies in the manner in which he has signed his name and by the notations he has added. The National League balls feature three different Carter signatures variations, penned, respectively, on three groups of twenty-four balls each. One group is signed "Gary 'The Kid' Carter," while the second group features his full name, "Gary Edmund Carter." The final group of twenty-four balls is signed "Gary Carter #8." The seventy-two Major League balls are all inscribed "Gary Carter HOF 2003." With regard to the National League balls, approximately forty percent display a few small areas of light age toning and are otherwise in Near Mint or Nr/Mt-Mt condition.
