Circa 1910 Baseball Art Prints (2)
Starting Bid - $200.00, Sold For - $812.00
Offered are two baseball art prints created by noted illustrator Hibberd Van Buren Kline. The first is titled Home and depicts a runner sliding across the plate. The second, titled Two Men Down, captures a game in progress. These two prints were almost certainly part of a three-panel series, though we have never seen the third panel to verify. We have seen a similar series of football prints by this same artist nearly identical in size and style. Each print has a few light, unobtrusive stains, with the Home print displaying some minor abrasions and rippling as well. Very Good to Excellent condition overall. Both measure approximately 42 x 13 inches and have been framed to slightly larger dimensions (the Home print appears to be housed in its original vintage wood frame). These are very impressive and ideal for display. Total 2 items. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$600. SOLD FOR $812.00
