1919 Chicago White Sox World Series Game 5 Ticket Stub (PSA)

Starting Bid - $500.00, Sold For - $2,900.00

Please Note: Our catalog description misidentifies this ticket as a 1919 Game 3 World Series ticket. This is not correct. The "3" on the ticket represents the third game at Chicago, which is actually Game Five of the series. We apologize for any inconvenience. Game 5 at Chicago was played on Monday October 6, 1919. Cincinnati won this game 5-0, pulling ahead four games to one in the best of nine series. The ticket is encapulated by PSA. The original bright orange color of this ticket suggests that it was protected from all light and well preserved as a keepsake. The ticket has a couple of very insignificant creases, even corner wear, and few very minor light pencil notations on the back, but still in overall Very Good condition. This is an extremely desirable World Series ticket from the year of the scandal. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500. SOLD FOR $2,900.00
