Circa 1901 "The National Game of Base Ball"

Produced by McLoughlin Bros. at the turn of the century, this extremely attractive board game features a large image of a batter on the cover. The bottom of the box is actually the "playing field" and features an illustration of a baseball diamond. Complete with its original spinner and wooden pieces. The sides of the box have been reinforced with clear tape (not noticeable except upon extremely close inspection) to repair a few small tears. The game is otherwise in strong Excellent condition with bright and bold colors. One of the classics among rare baseball games. Rare and spectacular for display. Dimensions: 10.5 x 19.75 x 1 inches. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500. SOLD FOR $1,508.00
