Two signed pieces commemorating, respectively, the New York Mets inaugural 1962 season and 1986 World Championship year. 1) 1962 New York Mets Team-Signed Reunion Bat. The specially produced Rawlings (34-inch) 1962 New York Mets commemorative bat is signed in blue marker by the following twenty-seven team members: Ashburn, Christopher, Bend Mizell, Neal, MacKenzie, Canizarro, Thomas, Daviault, Kanehl, Labine, Taylor, Drake, Landrith, Anderson, B. Miller, Hemus, Cook, Bouchee, Woodling, Smith, Bell, B. Miller, Throneberry, Ginsberg, Jackson, Kranepool and Mantilla. Signatures average "8/9" and the bat is in Near Mint condition. 2) 1986 New York Mets Team-Signed Ball: Twenty-nine blue ink signatures on an Official National League (Feeney) ball including D. Johnson (sweet spot), Gooden, Strawberry, Dykstra, Santana, Hernandez, Ojeda, Sisk, Backman, Carter, Wilson, Teufel (black ink), Knight, Anderson, Hearn, Aguilera, Robinson, H. Johnson, Harrelson, Gibbons and Stottlemyre. Signatures average "9/10" and the ball is in Near Mint condition. Two outstanding signed Mets items, each ideal for display, representing the very humble beginnings and the great heights of success of one of baseball's most beloved franchises.
