1955 Topps Doubleheaders SGC-Graded Unperforated Collection (8)

Starting Bid - $500.00, Sold For - $1,160.00

Collection of eight 1955 Topps Doubleheaders, presented in the very rarely seen unfolded and unperforated state, all encapsulated and graded by SGC. This is an extremely high-grade group, with one card graded MINT 96, four cards graded NM/MT+ 92, and three cards graded NM-MT 88. When issued in packs, these cards were perforated horizontally, allowing for easy folding. 1955 Topps Doubleheaders were never issued to the public in this special unperforated form. The offered cards were pulled from production prior to the final perforation and folding process. These proof-style cards had to have originated at some time directly from someone at Topps who was involved in the printing of the set. The eight cards are as follows: #29/30 (NM/MT+ 92), 71/72 (MINT 96), 73/74 (NM/MT+ 92), 81/82 (NM/MT 88), 95/96 (NM/MT+ 92), 117/118 (NM/MT 88), 123/124 (NM/MT 88), and 127/128 Spahn/Brewer (NM/MT+ 92). Doubleheaders are one of the scarcest and most unusual of all early 1950s gum issues. Total 8 cards representing 16 players. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500. SOLD FOR $1,160.00
