1936 V355 World Wide Gum Near-Complete PSA-Graded Set (134 of 135)

Starting Bid - $2,000.00, Sold For - $23,200.00

1936 V355 World Wide Gum near-set (134 of 135 cards) missing just one card for completion (final card in set #135 Phil Weintraub). This set has an extraordinarily high concentration of Hall of Famers. The thirty-eight Hall of Famers in the set are highlighted by Joe DiMaggio's rookie card and one of Lou Gehrig's rarest cards. One of the most difficult to complete sets of the 1930s, the V355 World Wide Gum set is all the more noteworthy as it features very unusual photographs which appear in no other card issues. All 134 cards have been graded and encapsulated by PSA. The complete PSA grading composite follows: Three EX-MT 6: #38, 52, and 73 Manush. Sixteen EX 5: #29, 33, 35, 37, 59, 71, 76, 78, 81, 103, 106, 110 Mack, 111, 118, 121, and 131 Lopez.
