Collection of 114 mostly 1910-era tobacco cards from eight different classic sets includes three T201 "Double Folders," fifteen T205 "Gold Borders," seventy-seven T206 "White Borders," seven T207 "Brown Background," two T210 Old Mill Cigarettes, five 1911 T212 Obak Cigarettes, one 1911 M116 Sporting Life, and four 1887 N284 Buchner Gold Coin. This unusual collection is loaded with highlights. 1) 3 T201: Clarke/Byrne (Vg), Ford/Johnson (Gd), Moore/Lobert (Vg). 2) 15 T205: Twelve Vg including Mordecai Brown and Tris Speaker; three Gd. 3) 77 T206: Thirty-one Vg to Ex-Mt including Bresnahan (port.), Keeler (w/bat), McGinnity, Willis (throw); forty-six cards are Pr to Gd including Bresnahan (w/bat), Huggins (port.), Waddell (port.), Willis (w/bat). 4) 7 T207: all grade Vg including Byrne, Dooin, Henriksen, Lively, Lord, Simon, Yerkes. 5) 2 T210: Pickels (series 4) and Bernhard (series 8), both Vg. 6) 5 T212: Netzel, Rockenfield, Swain, Wolverton grade Vg-Ex; Mohler Vg. 7) M116: Leach (Vg-Ex). 8) 4 1887 N284 Buchner: McCormick, Nelson, Pfeffer, and Sutton (all grade Gd). This unusual and substantial assemblage was consigned to this auction by a longtime antique dealer, located in Arizona, who found these cards when cleaning out inventory which had not been looked through for many years.
