1950 Topps "Bring 'Em Back Alive" Original Card Artwork #15

Presented is the original watercolor (3 x 3-7/8 inches) used to produce card #15 from the 1950 Topps "Bring 'Em Back Alive" card set. This adventure series was based on Frank Buck, the world's greatest hunter, and his fascinating stories of his encounters with the obstacles of the jungle. Accompanying the artwork is an example of the published card #15, entitled Hunters Boast, featuring natives celebrating the killing of a very dangerous lion that had been threatening their village. This artwork has been consigned to this sale by the original purchaser at the legendary Topps auction which occurred in 1989, and has the "1989 Topps Auction" stamp on the reverse. The artwork is extremely detailed, with brilliant colors and in spectacular Near Mint condition. An exceptional and rare original artwork from one of the first card sets ever issued by Topps.
