Walt Disney Signed Photograph in Framed Display

Starting Bid - $500.00, Sold For - $1,740.00

This amusing black-and-white publicity photo captures animation pioneer Walt Disney (1901-66) posing with two of his "creative associates" while seated at his office desk. The photo has been inscribed in black felt-tip marker "To Mr. + Mrs. Richard Bush - All Best - Walt Disney." Both the inscription and signature are extremely bold ("9+"). The creator of Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and countless other classic cartoon characters, Walt Disney remains one of the most important figures in the history of animation. Today, his stylized autograph is highly sought after among collectors, and rarely found on such an ideal-for-display studio publicity photo such as this. The image area of the photo measures 9 x 7 inches and is in Near Mint condition. Beautifully, elaborately, and very expensively matted and framed together with two Disney cartoon movie posters (color reproductions) to total dimensions of 47 x 27 inches. LOA from Steve Grad & John Reznikoff/PSA DNA. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000. SOLD FOR $1,740.00
