Circa 1984-86 Dan Marino Miami Dolphins Jersey

Starting Bid - $800.00, Sold For - $2,088.00

Miami Dolphins home jersey worn by Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino during the mid 1980s. The white mesh jersey features the number "13" on the front, reverse and each sleeve. "Marino" is lettered on reverse above the number. All numerals are applied in aqua on orange silk-screened paint, while all letters are applied in solid aqua silk-screened paint. A "Russell Athletic 48" label appears on the left sleeve. The jersey, which features professionally stitched sleeve and tail openings, has been customized for Marino in the form of extra wide gusset sleeve panels. Marino retired in 1999 as the all-time leader in passing yards, touchdown passes, pass attempts and completions. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2005. This jersey has been consigned to this auction directly from the personal collection of world-renowned bat and jersey authenticator David Bushing. Graded A8 by Mears, with two points deducted for the jersey displaying only moderate wear. LOA from Dave Bushing & Troy Kinunen/MEARS. Reserve $800. Estimate $1,500/$2,500. SOLD FOR $2,088.00
