1965-1968 Willie Mays Pro Model Bat
Starting Bid - $1,500.00, Sold For - $4,930.00
H&B block-letter (last name only) model S2 bat displays heavy game use including ball and stitch marks, rack marks (green/black) and cleat marks on the barrel. Long considered one of the greatest all-around players in baseball history, Mays led the National League in home runs on four separate occasions and garnered three MVP awards during his twenty-two-year career. He also appeared in twenty consecutive All-Star Games beginning in 1954. Mays was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1979, his first year of eligibility. Length: 35 inches. Weight: 33 ounces. Graded A8 by Mears. LOAs from Dave Bushing & Troy Kinunen/MEARS and John Taube & Vince Malta/PSA DNA. Reserve $1,500. Estimate $3,000/$5,000. SOLD FOR $4,930.00
