Rickey Henderson Signed Game-Worn Cleats

Starting Bid - $200.00, Sold For - $464.00

Displaying light wear throughout and with one of the six individual metal spikes missing from each shoe, each of these black Mizuno baseball cleats has been signed by Henderson in silver Sharpie (grading "7-8") on the side. The cleats are accompanied by an LOA signed by Henderson. Regarded as the greatest leadoff hitter in baseball history, Henderson currently holds a number of significant career records including stolen bases (1,406), bases on balls (2,190) and runs scored (2,295). He is also a member of baseball's elite 3,000 Hit Club. Since it appears that Henderson's Major League career has finally come to a close, the next stop for the fleet-footed outfielder will be Cooperstown, New York, where he will take his rightful place alongside baseball's other immortals. For Babe Ruth, most would agree that the ideal piece of equipment representing his career would be a bat. For Brooks Robinson, most would choose a glove. For Rickey Henderson, a pair of cleats is the ultimate item best symbolizing his great legend. LOAs from Dave Bushing & Troy Kinunen/MEARS and James Spence/JSA and Steve Grad, Mike Gutierrez & Zach Rullo/PSA DNA. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$600. SOLD FOR $464.00
