1966 Bob Miller LA Dodgers Game-Used Home Flannel Jersey
Starting Bid - $300.00, Sold For - $1,044.00
Los Angeles Dodgers home jersey worn by pitcher Bob Miller in 1966. The white flannel jersey is lettered "Dodgers" across the front and features the number "15" on the left breast and reverse. All letters and reverse numerals are appliquéd in blue felt. All front numerals are appliquéd in red felt. The name "Miller" is chain-stitched in red upon a strip tag on the left front tail. Directly below the name are a "Tim McAuliffe" label, a "66" year tag and a "42" size tag. The jersey is all original, with no alterations, and displays light wear. The Dodgers were National League champions in 1966, but were swept by the Orioles in the World Series, four games to none. Miller appeared in forty-six games with the Dodgers that season, all in relief, winning four games and posting a 2.72 ERA. It is not known whether or not the Dodgers wore their regular season uniforms in the 1966 World Series or a new set. If they did wear their regular season uniforms, the possibility exists that this particular garment was worn by Miller during the "fall classic." Regardless, it remains an exceptional mid-sixties Dodgers home flannel in all respects and has been graded a perfect A10 by MEARS. LOA from Dave Bushing & Troy Kinunen/MEARS. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $1,044.00
