1934-1944 Frank Crosetti Pro Model Bat

Hillerich & Bradsby block-letter model (pre model #) has "Crosetti" stamped on the barrel. The bat exhibits moderate to heavy game use including ball and cleat marks. The bat weight "33" is stamped on the knob. H&B shipping records indicate delivery of two orders of these bats to Crosetti, on 4/10/33 and 5/24/35. Dating from the glory years of the Yankee franchise in the 1930s, this very bat shared the dugout with the bats of immortals such as Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. Anchoring the Yankee infield for most of his seventeen seasons, Crosetti was a member of nine AL Champion and eight World Champion teams. After retiring as a player in 1948, he was the Yankee third-base coach for an additional twenty years, playing a role in fifteen more World Series. His continuous Yankee service was the longest in the team's history. Length: 35 inches. Weight: 33 ounces. SCD Authentic Grade: A8.
