Very impressive, colorful, and very large oil painting (34.25 x 47.5) by artist Bob Davidson is a striking tribute to the Negro Leagues, featuring portraits of the three most important figures in Negro League history: Rube Foster (founder of the Negro League), Satchel Paige, and Josh Gibson. In the upper right corner is a train with "Negro National League" on one of the passenger cars. The background also includes a Hall of Fame-style plaque listing the three baseball legends with their Hall of Fame induction dates, and the entrance gate to "Greenlee Park" which was the home of the Pittsburgh Crawfords. This is a stunning and very large format original oil painting, ideal for prominent public display, paying tribute to the most important figures of Negro League Baseball.
