1920 Brooklyn Dodgers World Series Press Pin

Starting Bid - $500.00, Sold For - $1,508.00

Exceptionally high-grade example of this early press pin rarity. The bright red enamel border reads "World Series" and "1920" in gold lettering, and surrounds a concave baseball design in gold which reads "Brooklyn." The red enamel band of the design is without flaws, with no wear or scratching as is usually found with this pin. The convex design of the center of this pin usually makes the gold center section susceptible to much wear and scratching; on this example the wear is minimal. This is certainly one of the finest examples of this rare press pin we have ever seen, and is worthy of inclusion in the most advanced press pin collection. The reverse has the rare clasp pin backing and is stamped "Dieges & Clust." Nr/Mt condition. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$1,500. SOLD FOR $1,508.00
