Near-complete run (1935 to 1967) of official All-Star Game programs. The first All-Star game was played in 1933, and soon evolved into one of baseball's most celebrated annual traditions. From 1959 to 1962, two All-Star games were played each year. This collection includes 26 different programs, representing a near-complete run from 1935 through 1967 (26 of 36 programs issued during these years): 1) 1935 Municipal Stadium; Foxx hits home run (unscored; two tiny corner creases, a crease at top edge and some spine stresses, otherwise Ex-Mt). 2) 1937 Griffith Stadium; Gehrig hits home run (unscored; slight foxing on front cover and the hint of a very light vertical fold, otherwise Ex). 3) 1939 Yankee Stadium; DiMaggio hits home run (unscored; couple of tiny cover edge chips, otherwise Ex). 4) 1940 Sportsman's Park (unscored; vertical and horizontal folding creases, still Vg-Ex). 5) 1941 Briggs Stadium, T. Williams hits home run (unscored; some cover creasing, otherwise Ex). 6) 1943 Shibe Park (unscored; some soiling along the right edge of front cover, creases on back cover, overall Vg-Ex). 7) 1944 Forbes Field (unscored; Ex). 8) 1946 Fenway Park; T. Williams hits two home runs (unscored, very clean and flat, horizontal folding crease and hint of vertical fold, otherwise Ex-Mt). 9) 1947 Wrigley Field; Mize hits home run (scored in pencil; vertical center crease, back cover crease, otherwise Ex). 10) 1948 Sportsman's Park; Musial hits home run (unscored; two-inch spine split at the top and bottom, otherwise Vg-Ex). 11) 1951 Briggs Stadium; Musial, Hodges, and Kiner hit home runs (unscored; a few hairline cover creases mentioned for the sake of accuracy, otherwise Ex-Mt). 12) 1952 Shibe Park; J. Robinson hits a home run (unscored; Good condition).13) 1953 Crosley Field (unscored; Vg-Ex/Ex, bordering on Ex). 14) 1954 Municipal Stadium (neatly scored in pencil; center page detached from bottom staple, otherwise Ex-Mt). 15) 1955 County Stadium; Mantle and Musial hit home runs (unscored but starting lineup written in pencil; Ex). 16) 1956 Griffith Stadium; Mantle, T. Williams, Mays, and Musial hit home runs (unscored; a couple of cover bends near spine, almost certainly as made, otherwise Ex-Mt). 17) 1957 Busch Stadium (neatly scored in pencil; a very light corner crease and some spine stress marks, otherwise Ex-Mt). 18) 1959 Memorial Coliseum; Berra and F. Robinson hit home runs (unscored; Vg-Ex). 19) 1960 Municipal Stadium; Banks and Kaline hit home runs (unscored; Vg-Ex/Ex). 20) 1960 Yankee Stadium; Mathews, Mays, and Musial hit home runs (scored in ink; Vg-Ex/Ex). 21) 1961 Candlestick Park; Ford vs. Spahn (unscored; Vg-Ex). 22) 1961 Fenway Park (unscored; Ex condition). 23) 1962 D.C. Stadium (neatly scored in pencil and partially in ink; Ex condition). 24) 1962 Wrigley Field (neatly scored in pencil; the front cover has "Ernie Banks Chicago Cubs" written in blue ink, otherwise Ex). 25) 1963 Municipal Stadium (unscored; Ex). 26) 1967 Anaheim Stadium (neatly scored in pencil; a few very light cover creases, Vg-Ex).
