1925 Washington Senators World Series Program

Starting Bid - $400.00, Sold For - $2,610.00

The 1925 World Series program issued at Washington is one of the most condition-sensitive of all early World Series programs. It is rarely found in high-grade due to the very thin, easily damaged quality of its interior pages. The program, produced by National Photo Company of Washington, D.C., is a particularly ambitious effort, including 64 sepia-toned pages packed with literally hundreds of photos. The program features managers Bucky Harris and Bill McKechnie on the cover. Lightly scored in pencil. This is one of the finest examples of this condition-sensitive rarity we have seen. Crisp and perfectly flat, with bright, clean cover and interior pages, and free of the usual problems such as tearing which almost always plague the interior pages of this edition. Close examination reveals that the cover is detached at the two spine staples, otherwise in Ex-Mt condition.Reserve $400. Estimate $800/$1,200. SOLD FOR $2,610.00
