Autographed 1952 Topps #311 Mickey Mantle
Starting Bid - $1,000.00, Sold For - $4,930.00
The most desirable and expensive postwar card in the hobby is the 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle. The offered example is signed in blue ballpoint pen and the signature grades a "9/10" overall on a scale of "1" to "10." Very few 1952 Topps Mantles were ever signed. This card has always been very popular with collectors, and very expensive. Most collectors who had this card when Mantle was alive had no interest in getting it signed because of its great value. This is the first signed example we have ever offered. The top and bottom borders have been neatly trimmed, but it is still a very attractive card and otherwise in strong Vg-Ex condition. A centerpiece for even the most advanced Mantle or signed-card collection. LOAs from Mike Gutierrez/GAI and James Spence & Steve Grad/PSA DNA. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,000/$4,000. SOLD FOR $4,930.00
