1930 Philadelphia Athletics Team-Signed Baseball

Official American League (Barnard) baseball signed by twenty members of the World Championship 1930 Philadelphia Athletics. The Philadelphia Athletics were one of the most powerful teams of the era, with a roster filled with future Hall of Famers. The ball has a very light coating of shellac, and the signatures range in grade from "3" to "7" on a scale of "1" to "10." . All but one are readily legible. George Earnshaw and Lefty Grove ("5") have signed the sweet spot. The remaining signers include Jimmie Foxx ("5"), Al Simmons ("4"), Mule Haas, Max Bishop, Homer Summa, Jack Quinn, Bing Miller, Charlie Perkins, Dib Williams, Rube Walberg, Eddie Collins ("5"), Eric McNair, Joe Boley, Pinky Higgins, Connie Mack ("7"), Jim Moore, and Jimmy Dykes. The manufacturer's stampings are all very bold. The ball has a few minor scuff marks and is otherwise in overall Very Good to Excellent condition.
