1934 Goudey #32 Blondy Ryan PSA NM-MT 8

Starting Bid - $300.00, Sold For - $1,740.00

Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. One of nine examples graded at this level with only one graded higher. Blondy Ryan was called upon to replace Hall of Famer Travis Jackson at shortstop after Jackson broke his knee in 1932 and was unable to return the following season. That year the Giants went on to win the pennant and eventually defeated the Washington Senators to capture the World Series title. This exceptionally crisp card has deep, rich colors, four strong, square corners, and snow-white borders. Centered very slightly to the bottom and right border (55/45). Perfectly clean front and back. We have found that the auction selling prices of cards from extremely popular sets with very low populations in the highest grades often sell for far more than SMR, and this is especially the case with classic vintage sets such as 1934 Goudey. Solid Nr/Mt-Mt example. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $1,740.00
