W514 and W515 Uncut Strips Including Babe Ruth and Joe Jackson (10 strips, 50 cards)

Collection of ten complete and partial uncut strips of cards from the W514 and W515 strip-card sets representing a total of 50 cards. Includes eight W514 uncut strips (four 5-card strips, two 3-card strips, and two 2-card strips) and two W515 uncut strips (each 10-card strips). 1) 1919-1921 W514: four 5-card strips include card #1 thru 5, 11 thru 15, 21 thru 25, and 101 thru 105. Keys: #2 Babe Ruth, 3 Hap Felsch, 15 Joe Jackson, 21 "Rabbit" Maranville (Pirates), 22 Max Carey, 25 Eddie Collins, 101 George Sisler, 102 Tris Speaker, 105 Swede Risberg. The two 3-card strips include cards #72 thru 74 and 75 thru 77. Keys: #72 Christy Mathewson and 75 Frank Baker. Two 2-card panels include card #23, 24, 77, 78. 2) 1923 W515: two 10-card strips (total of 20 cards of the 60-card set) include cards #21 thru 30 and 51 thru 60. Keys: #24 Casey Stengel, 28 Tris Speaker, 29 Ross Young, 51 Ray Schalk, 53 Wilbert Robinson, 55 Rogers Hornsby, 56 Zach Wheat, 57 Ed Roush, 58 Eddie Collins, 60 Red Faber. The cards in the center of the strips are in overall Nr/Mt condition. "End" cards have some wear to the corners, including a few with small corner chips. The W515 Babe Ruth is a "center card" on a five-card strip and is in Nr/Mt-Mt condition. Though the W514 Joe Jackson is an end card, it has escaped all wear and is in Nr/Mt condition. Most of the "center cards" of each strip are in Nr/Mt-Mt condition. A very unusual and substantial group of uncut strip cards with many significant highlights. Total 10 uncut strips (50 cards).
