1962 Beatles Signed Parlophone Records Promotional Photocard
Starting Bid - $2,000.00, Sold For - $5,510.00
Extremely rare 1962 Parlophone Records promotional photocard (6 x 3.5 inches) featuring the Beatles is signed on the reverse by all four members. This card was issued by Parlaphone Records in October 1962 and is the first official Beatles promotional card with Ringo Starr in the band. The verso is beautifully signed as follows: "John Lennon xxx," "Ringo Starr xxx," "Paul McCartney xxx," "George Harrison xxx". Paul McCarthy, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr have each signed with the same blue ballpoint; John Lennon has signed in blue fountain pen. Each signature is large, crisp, and bold (each grading "10") on the blank reverse. This is a very substantial early signed Beatles piece. Printed on sturdy stock, the card itself is a very rare official promotional issue. An example such as this, signed by all four members of the group at the dawn of their historic careers is especially rare and noteworthy, and one of the best signed Beatles items that could possibly exist from this early era. In Very Good to Excellent condition. Accompanied by LOA from world-famous Beatles expert Frank Caiazzo, who in his detailed report dates the signatures (as well as the card) to exactly October 1962. LOA also from James Spence, Steve Grad & John Reznikoff/PSA DNA. Reserve $2,000. Estimate $4,000/$6,000. SOLD FOR $5,510.00
