Alfred Hitchcock Signed Photograph

Starting Bid - $200.00, Sold For - $580.00

Signed print of legendary Hollywood director Alfred Hitchcock (1899-1980). The black and white photograph (5 x 7 inches) captures Hitchcock's dark, penetrating eyes, and emotionless, dour expression. Across his black jacket he has signed "Alfred Hitchcock" ("10") in white ink. Hitchcock designed this card in the style of 1920s illustration artist Coles Phillips (noted for tying the figure into the background by use of color) specifically for signing in white ink across his dark suit, which blends into the black background. The verso has some stray pencil marks and a few small remnants of mounting tape, otherwise in Mint condition. This is a very striking and ideally signed image of one of Hollywood's greatest legends. Near Mint condition. LOA from James Spence, Steve Grad & John Reznikoff/PSA DNA. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$800. SOLD FOR $580.00
