1929 Orville Wright Signed Pilot's License

A great piece from the early days of aviation: an original 1929 pilot's license signed by Orville Wright, from the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale and the National Aeronautic Association of U.S.A. Measuring 4.75 x 4 inches (when booklet is open), issued to Chester Brown Loomis Jr. of Los Angeles, California, the document is signed in ink by "Orville Wright" ("8") in his role as Chairman of the National Aeronautic Association Contest Committee. Loomis has signed the piece beneath his photo in which he wears a leather flight helmet and goggles. The license is fully executed with official embossed stamps. This is an exceptional piece of aeronautical history, signed by American inventor and pioneer of flight Orville Wright (1871-1948). In Very Good to Excellent condition.
