Circa 1968 Bobby Orr Boston Bruins Game-Issued Hockey Stick

Starting Bid - $200.00, Sold For - $406.00

This Northland Custom Pro hockey stick was issued to Bobby Orr for game use during the height of his career with the Boston Bruins. The stick has "LIE NO 5 LEFT" and "ORR" stamped on the shaft in black block lettering. Also on the shaft is "Northland Skis - St. Paul, Minn., U.S.A." and "Woody Dumart and Co. - Needham Heights, Mass." in black block lettering. Clear fiberglass tape has been applied to the blade and lower shaft. From the first time that Bobby Orr played professional hockey it was quite obvious that his influence would change the game forever. One of the all-time great defensemen, Orr showed that players at his position could become an offensive force as well. He played just nine full seasons but his legend was so great that he was elected into Hockey's Hall of Fame in the same year he retired, 1979. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$600. SOLD FOR $406.00
