Circa Late 1960s Stan Mikita Game-Issued & Signed Hockey Stick

This C.C.M. Custom Pro hockey stick was issued to Stan Mikita for game use. The stick has "MIKITA," "GUNZO'S - BERWYN, ILL.," and "Bonded Fiberglass" stamped on the shaft in black lettering. The stick has been signed "Stan Mikita 21" ("9") on the shaft in black Sharpie. The stick features a banana-curve blade, which Mikita is credited with inventing, and is a trademark of his sticks prepared for game use. Clear fiberglass tape is applied to the blade and the lower portion of the shaft. A first-class Hall of Famer, Mikita led the NHL in scoring four times and in 1967 and 1968, while with the Chicago Blackhawks, was the first player in NHL history to win the Hart, Art Ross and Lady Byng Trophies.
