Ted Williams Signed Limited Edition LeRoy Neiman Serigraph

Entitled "The Splendid Splinter," issued in 1991, serigraph numbered 262 of 270, flawlessly signed and inscribed "Ted Williams, Splendid Splinter, 1941 - .406" (special limited signing of only ten in this style, numbered 3 of 10) in the lower margin by Ted Williams and artist LeRoy Neiman (both "10"). The last Ted Williams Neiman serigraph offered by Robert Edward Auctions appeared in our May 2004 sale as Lot 569. That example, which did not have the special inscription limited to ten numbered editions, sold for $7,475. This is the premier art print of Ted Williams, and one of the most popular of all signed limited edition Neiman serigraphs. Brilliant colors. The most desirable of all modern era Ted Williams display pieces, and as the years have passed, rarely appearing at auction. The serigraph image area measures 20 x 28 inches. Beautifully and very professionally matted and framed to dimensions of 35.25 x 43 inches. Mint condition. LOAs from Mike Gutierrez/GAI and James Spence & Steve Grad/PSA DNA. Reserve $2,000.
