1980-1983 Wade Boggs Signed Rookie Era Pro Model Bat

Louisville Slugger signature model C235 is signed to the left of the barrel stampings by "Wade Boggs" ("9") in black sharpie. The bat exhibits light game use including ball, stitch, and bat rack marks predominately on the left of the barrel, a known characteristic of Wade Boggs game-used bats. The uncracked handle has a medium coat of pine tar and Bogg's player number "26" is written on the knob end in black marker. H&B shipping records indicate delivery of just two orders of these bats to Boggs, one on 4/15/82 and the other on 3/10/83. This is an extremely low-production Wade Boggs game-used bat, dating from the first year in the majors of this newly inducted Hall of Famer. Length: 34.5 inches. Weight: 32 ounces.
