1973-1975 Frank Robinson Pro Model Bat
Starting Bid - $200.00, Sold For - $1,508.00
Signature model R182 displays evidence of heavy game use including ball stitch, blue ball transfer, bat rack, and cleat marks. The back of the barrel is missing a strip of wood, which measures approximately 11.5 inches in length, which has no impact on the display value of the bat. The uncracked handle has a light coat of pine tar. Robinson's player number "20" is written both on the knob and barrel end in black marker. In 1966, Robinson joined the elite group of Triple Crown hitters; only Yastrzemski, in 1967, has earned the award since then. Length: 34.75 inches. Weight: 33 ounces (the missing wood on the back of the barrel has changed the weight of the bat since it was originally made for Robinson). SCD Authentic Grade: A6. LOAs from Dave Bushing/SCD Authentic and John Taube & Vince Malta/PSA DNA. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$800. SOLD FOR $1,508.00
