1965-1968 Pete Rose Pro Model Bat

Starting Bid - $800.00, Sold For - $3,190.00

Hillerich & Bradsby signature model S2 bat exhibits moderate game use including ball, stitch, cleat, and bat rack marks along the barrel. The handle is uncracked with a light coat of pine tar. Rose's player number "14" is written on the knob end in vintage red marker. The bat has use on both sides, ideal for a switch hitter. Rose bats from the later part of his career are plentiful, but Rose H&B models dating from 1965 to 1968, which predate his bats having monetary value, are rare. This is an exceptional H&B game bat used by Pete Rose during the early years of his great career. Length: 36 inches. Weight: 32 ounces. SCD Authentic Grade: A7.5. LOAs from Dave Bushing/SCD Authentic and John Taube & Vince Malta/PSA DNA. Reserve $800. Estimate $1,500/$2,500. SOLD FOR $3,190.00
