1955 Marilyn Monroe Signed East of Eden Premiere Program

Starting Bid - $2,000.00, Sold For - $2,587.50

1955 East of Eden Premiere Program with magnificent, large personalized Marilyn Monroe signature. The program is signed on the cover, in the upper left, "To Bill/Warmest Regards/Marilyn Monroe" ("9") in blue ink. Marilyn Monroe attended the premiere with her third husband, playwright Arthur Miller. The program is beautifully framed with an original vintage 8 x 10 inch photograph of Monroe and Arthur Miller, dancing at the premiere party. Accompanying the lot is a second original photograph (also 8 x 10 inches) of the couple dancing at the premiere. Both photographs have the photographer's stamp on the reverse. Released in 1955, East of Eden starred Julie Harris and James Dean, whose breakthrough film Rebel Without A Cause would also be released that year. The program cover has a tiny stain in the lower center, and a light, barely visible crease in the lower right, both mentioned strictly for the sake of accuracy, otherwise the program is bright and clean, and in Excellent condition. The signed program and one of the accompanying photographs are professionally framed to dimensions of 25.5 x 19.5 inches. Framed together, the signed program and photograph create a very impressive display honoring America's most enduring sex symbol. LOA from James Spence, Steve Grad and John Reznikoff/PSA DNA. Reserve $2,000. Estimate $3,000/$5,000. SOLD FOR $2,587.50
