1924 Notre Dame Football Review

Starting Bid - $200.00, Sold For - $517.50

Rare 66-page "Official 1924 Football Review" published by Notre Dame following the 1924 championship season. In 1924, Coach Knute Rockne and "The Four Horsemen" (Harry Stuhldreher, Elmer Layden, Jim Crowley, and Don Miller) of Notre Dame led the football team to a much celebrated and unexpected championship. This was perhaps Notre Dame Football's greatest year. Packed with articles, individual and team photos, rosters, game-by-game summaries, and even a poem and illustration dedicated to George Gipp. This team beat Stanford and the great Ernie Nevers in the Rose Bowl game, winning on a famous goal line stand. The cover of the program has toning from age, some chips missing along the bottom border, and some tears at the right and top border. The inside pages are snow white as the day of issue with a minor flaw on a few pages. Otherwise Excellent condition overall. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$600. SOLD FOR $517.50
