1934 R310 Butterfinger Advertising Display Cards (7)
Starting Bid - $200.00, Sold For - $805.00
1934 Butterfingers are usually found printed on almost impossibly thin paper stock, but are occasionally found on thick cardboard stock, with red advertising overprint along the top. We believe that the cardboard variety were actually intended to be store display advertising pieces, intended for display on the candy store counter. This would also explain their extreme rarity compared to the regular-issue paper variety. Offered are a collection of seven of the rare and far more desirable cardboard stock with advertising variety: Bartell (Vg-Ex), Boyle (Ex), Carlton (Vg-Ex/Ex), Earnshaw (Vg-Ex/Ex), Frey (Vg-Ex/Ex), O'Farrell (Vg-Ex/Ex), and Swetonic (Vg-Ex/Ex). Very sharp-looking group, each overall Ex in appearance, downgraded due to minor technical faults. Total 7 display cards. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$600. SOLD FOR $805.00
