Harry Heilmann Single-Signed Baseball
Starting Bid - $800.00, Sold For - $1,150.00
Official American League (Harridge) baseball signed on a side panel in blue ink by Harry Heilmann ("6"). The ball has been coated with layer of shellac which has yellowed with age, and has some soiling beneath the shellac. The Reach manufacturer's stampings are slightly faded but entirely visible and legible. Heilmann was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1952, having earned his place among baseball's immortals with his .342 lifetime average and four batting titles (including batting .403 in 1924) over 17 seasons. Heilmann passed away in 1951 and is very rare as a single on a baseball. This is a very pleasing medium-grade example of this very tough Hall of Famer single. LOAs Mike Gutierrez/GAI and James Spence & Steve Grad/PSA DNA. Reserve $800. Estimate $1,500/$2,500. SOLD FOR $1,150.00
