1963 Art Shamsky Game-Used Bat

Starting Bid - $200.00, Sold For - $575.00

Art Shamsky Hillerich & Bradsby signature model M110 bat shows evidence of tremendous game use, displaying ball stitch marks on the barrel. The handle has a 9-inch crack which has been repaired with a single nail. Shamsky game bats are one of, if not the, rarest of all 1969 Mets players. This is the first example we have ever seen. Shamsky was a key component to the "Miracle Mets" success in 1969, batting .300 during the regular season, and leading all batters with seven hits in the 1969 LCS. According to the factory ordering records, this bat predates Shamsky's 1965 Major League debut, and was shipped by H&B to Shamsky in 1963. Length: 34.5 inches. Weight: 32 ounces. SCD Authentic Grade: A6.5. LOAs from Dave Bushing & Dan Knoll/SCD Authentic and John Taube & Vince Malta/PSA DNA. Reserve $200. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $575.00
