1972 Garry Maddox SF Giants Game-Used Rookie Road Jersey
Starting Bid - $300.00, Sold For - $460.00
This Garry Maddox San Francisco Giants road flannel jersey was game-used by Maddox during his rookie season in 1972. In the neck of the jersey is "Maddox" in black chain stitching. Across the front is "San Francisco" in black on orange lettering and on the reverse is his player number "31." This was the last year the Giants used black on orange letters on their road jerseys, as well as the last year the Giants wore flannels. There are no tags (maker, size, etc) anywhere in the jersey. Maddox was traded to the Phillies in 1975 and went on to win eight straight Gold Gloves in the outfield. Only Roberto Clemente and Willie Mays have won more Gold Gloves as an outfielder. The jersey shows excellent game use. LOA from Dave Bushing & Dan Knoll/SCD Authentic. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000. SOLD FOR $460.00
