1963 Jell-O Complete Set Minus 2 (198/200)
Starting Bid - $500.00, Sold For - $1,955.00
15% Ex-Mt to Nr/Mt, 65% Vg-Ex/Ex, and 20% Vg or lesser. Very attractive set, with sharp corners, cut very nicely, most cards downgraded exclusively due to small creases which are so common to Jell-O cards due to their method of issue as package design cards. Complete Jell-O sets are particularly difficult to assemble. These cards were issued only one card per Jell-O box, and the set includes numerous rarities because some cards were issued only with certain very unpopular flavors. This near complete set (198/200) is missing just two cards for completion (#181 and #198). Keys: #5 Killebrew (Vg-Ex), #10 Kaat (Vg), #15 Mantle (Vg-Ex/Ex), #16 Maris (Vg-Ex/Ex), #17 Berra (Vg-Ex/Ex), #19 Ford (Vg-Ex), #61 Adair (Vg bordering on Vg-Ex), #80 Yastrzemski (Ex), #89 Charles (Vg-Ex/Ex), #106 Mays (Vg-Ex/Ex), #112 McCovey (Vg-Ex/Ex), #135 Keough (Ex), #143 Clemente (Ex), #152 Aaron (Vg-Ex/Ex), #157 Cloninger (Vg-Ex), #163 James (Gd/Vg), #166 Gibson (Vg-Ex), #172 B. Williams (Vg-Ex/Ex), #175 Landrum (Vg), #176 Bertell (Vg), #187 Aspromonte (Ex), and #192 Farrell (Vg). This is a very attractive set that presents far better than its technically accurate grade. Total 198 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000. SOLD FOR $1,955.00
