1933 Washington Senators Team Burke Photo Signed By Joe Cronin
Starting Bid - $300.00, Sold For - $345.00
Professional posed original team photograph of the 1933 Washington Senators by legendary sports photographer, George Burke. The photograph captures the 1933 National League Champions on the field in front of the grandstands. The image is crystal clear, with the title "The Washington Senators, 1933" in the foreground, and the photographer's credit ("Geo. Burke Chicago") in the lower right, both preprinted on the photo in white lettering. The natural rounded corner design of the print adds to its extraordinarily elegant and high-quality appearance. The photo is signed "Best to Bill, Joe Cronin" ("8") in blue ink in an ideal, unobtrusive space in the lower right. The reverse of the photo has been stamped "Geo. Burke, 847 Belmont Ave, Chicago" in the lower right corner. This is a simply extraordinary original Burke team photo of unparalleled high quality. The 1933 pennant-winning team, led by their star player/manager Joe Cronin, set a franchise record with 99 wins (their fourth straight 90+ victory season). The Senators lost the World Series to the Giants in five games. Nr/Mt condition. LOAs from Mike Gutierrez/GAI and James Spence & Steve Grad/PSA DNA. Reserve $300. Estimate $600/$800. SOLD FOR $345.00
