1948 East-West All-Star Game Team Photograph

Original photograph (8" x 10") features the 1948 East-West All-Star game's East team, each in their respective Negro League uniforms, in a traditional team pose. Includes Buck Leonard, Monte Irvin, Jim Gilliam, Luke Easter, and Minnie Minoso. The West beat the East 3-0. This game is of particularly great historical significance as this was the last true All-Star classic. The Negro National League folded after the 1948 season. Memphis Photographer Ernest C. Withers' identification stamp on reverse. Player names and team identification notations are neatly printed on the photograph, corner pin holes, overall Vg-Ex. This is an extraordinary photo.
