1896 Chicago vs. Baltimore Program

Four-page program with multicolor cover features a sepia portrait of Baltimore pitcher George Hemming on the cover. The program commemorates a game played in Baltimore against the Chicago Colts. The printed lineups include Hall of Famers Joe Kelley, Willie Keeler, Hughie Jennings, and Wilbert Robinson for Baltimore, and Cap Anson and Clark Griffith for Chicago. The interior pages are clean and free of tears. The center scorecard section is unscored. The program has a light stain in the upper left and lower right corner, but is otherwise in Excellent condition. An exceptionally rare program from the glory days of the Baltimore Orioles, who were NL champions three years in a row: 1894, 1895, and 1896. Reserve $200. Estimate $400/$800. SOLD FOR $1,725.00
